About Us
At Nomad Kids Collective, we believe that childhood should be full of freedom, wonder, and connection. Our camp was born out of a desire to create a space where kids could slow down, roam wide, and grow wild.
We offer nature-based, screen-free, and intentionally unstructured programs that encourage curiosity, creativity, and resilience. Whether it's building forts in the forest, making art with found materials, or looking for unique bugs and bark, our days are filled with fresh air and adventures.
Nomad Kids Collective was founded by educators Jane & Chloé. We're inspired by forest school principles and believe in child-led learning. Our goal is simple: to help kids feel confident in the outdoors, wherever they go.
Join us on the journey—let curiosity lead!
Hi, I’m Jane.
I was raised in England, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, where my surroundings were made up of moors, winding rivers, and more sheep than people. Some of my fondest memories are of hiking across the countryside, dipping into the freezing river, and picnicking in the fields with family and friends.
Spending so much of my childhood outdoors gave me a deep appreciation for the natural world and sparked a lifelong love of adventure. Whether it was jumping in the river, climbing trees, or braving the elements on long hill walks, I’ve always believed that the best kind of learning happens outside.
I decided to make Whistler my second home back in 2019. Today, I get to combine two of my greatest passions - dance and adventure. My background is in dance and I’ve been teaching dance to children and youth in Whistler. I love creating experiences that inspire confidence and connection. Alongside that, I’ve developed a growing interest in nature-based learning. I enjoy spending time outside, encouraging a sense of adventure and curiosity
Hi, I’m Chloé.
I grew up in Ontario and my best childhood memories are from time spent in the outdoors with my family-from canoe camping trips in Algonquin Park, to hiking in the Adirondacks, to skiing in Québec, and spending weekends at the cottage in the Outaouais.
I have worked with children of all ages for over a decade and have always been motivated to encourage curiosity and connection to nature in youth. There’s truly nothing like playing in dirt and realizing we can feel so free in nature!
My background is in outdoor education and sports instruction. I bring over a decade of experience as a ski racing coach, ski instructor, and counsellor for outdoor youth camps. I have managed youth sports programs and summer camps in Whistler since moving here in 2018. I appreciate both structured programming and child-led, nature-based play that promotes learning in open environments
